To all my racers, fans and sponsors,
This has been a great first year so far and I would like to personally thank all the drivers and fans who have come out to Carteret County Speedway this year.
We have had tremendous support from our fanbase which has come out rain or shine, hot or cold. Without all of you, racing wouldn’t be possible here. Your support means the world to me. You are some of the best fans in racing and I couldn’t ask for a better fanbase.
I appreciate all the drivers who come out and run with us. Every week, our classes are growing and we’ll continue to grow and get more cars. All our racers are so appreciative and great. The racing has been fantastic all year and you have all put on a great show for the fans.
I couldn’t do this without our sponsors either. Stevenson Chevrolet, Budweiser, Walker Auto Stores, Interstate Batteries of Coastal Plains and Coca-Cola have done so much for this track. Kittrell’s has also come on board, sponsoring our Labor Day race which should be a big show.
(Other sponsors include: Electronics Plus, LB Page, Holiday Travel Park, Kona Ice of the Crystal Coast, Humbert Hot Rod and Off Road, Angie’s Light House Café, Pipeline Plumbing, Coastal Tires, S.T. Wooten, Carolina Home and Garden, Dew Point Heating and Air,MRP Mobile Home and RV Supply, Ribeyes in Cape Carteret, Parkerton Inn, Coastal Land Ventures, Braswell Carpet Cleaner, 92.7 The Beacon, Norris Tavern in Newport, Islander Suites Emerald Isle, American Racer, Crystal Coast Line-X, Battlefield Tire Service, Southeastern Elevator, Cedar Point Tire, Bill Brown and Coastal Building/Storage Ideas, Crystal Coast Insurance, WRNS 95.1, Thunder Country 96.3, Roger Burns and Racing Realty, Rock Auto and Corbett Electric)
Labor Day weekend is going to be our one year anniversary and it’s been a great first year and I’m looking forward to many more. This is the nicest track on the East Coast and all the racers who race here love it.
I was sick with cancer when the season started out, but I’m cancer free now. Everyone said a prayer and I appreciate that. I’m feeling better now and I’m ready for the next season of racing and the years ahead.
Thank you, all of you.
