Persistent Rain Forces Firecracker Clash Cancellation

SWANSBORO, NC – Persistent rain has forced Carteret County Speedway to pull the plug on the Interstate Batteries Firecracker Clash.

Rain began shortly before 3pm and continued until 5pm.  Track drying efforts began shortly after but rain returned again shortly before 6pm, accompanied with lightning and thunder with more rain on the way.

Carteret County Speedway will hold its next race on Wednesday night, July 6th with the Stevenson Chevrolet Shootout.  Tickets and armbands from July 3rd will be honored on July 6th.

Additional makeup races for the cancelled races at Carteret County Speedway will be announced in the coming weeks.
