Rain Pushes Carteret County Speedway Season Opener Back to April 30th

Rain Pushes Carteret County Speedway Season Opener Back to April 30th

SWANSBORO, NC – Rain has forced Carteret County Speedway to push back the season opening race for the 2016 season to Saturday, April 30th.

Persistent rain from Thursday night throughout the day Saturday forced Carteret County Speedway to make the decision to cancel the April 2nd event.  With Southern National Motorsports Park opening on April 9th and East Carolina Motor Speedway opening on April 16th, Carteret County Speedway does not want to interfere with either track’s opening race.  Carteret County Speedway encourages drivers and fans to support both openers.

Along with the rescheduled season opener, set for April 30th, Carteret County Speedway will be going back to its roots to host high speed Kart racing on Saturday, April 23rd.  The April 30th event will feature racing for the Late Model, Mini-Stock, Street Stock, U-CAR and Legends divisions.
